Hi Phoebe (and Henry)!

Hope you’re all well and great to see you last weekend!  We must do it more often if only you could stop working quite so much.

Just wanted to let you know about that new homes development we drove past on the way into Haywards Heath – well I popped in there on the way back home from work yesterday.

You said you might move if you found the right place – well I think I’ve found it for you!!  It’s called Charters Gate, and they’re building brand new homes, 2, 3 and 4 beds.  Go on, chuck in that terrible journey into the City you do each day! – ‘cos you can use one of the bedrooms as a study, or choose the 3 bed Kinfield which already has a study. You’ve been dying to go self-employed for ages, so this is a good excuse.  In any case, if you decide to stay in that stressful job of yours, you can get the train from Wivelsfield into London Victoria or London Bridge (or better still, get a new job in much closer Brighton and still use the train!!!)

I had a good chat with one of the Sales Advisors – you really ought to take a trip to Charters Gate and have a chat with Dianne, Meg or Rachel – they know where everything is nearby, so you can ask them all those questions about schools, shops and walks.  I’m telling you, you could take Charlie (is that pooch still as crazy as he was the last time I saw him, chewing all the slippers???) He’d love the walks round the area, and it’d do the two of you a world of good to get all that fresh air!

The Sales Advisor was really helpful and knows everything about the village – she even said to try The Cock Inn, (only up the road from Charters Gate).  Apparently it’s brilliant.  Think of all the evenings we could go and have a drink or supper there! I know, let’s go there for my birthday in June with the usual crowd.

There’s loads nearby too for your Henry – is he still into his golf, and architecture? Guess what! There are more than 20 listed buildings nearby – so he could spend his days amongst the relics – and then visit one of the 14 (14!!!) golf courses within 9 miles of Wivelsfield Green.  Waste of a walk, didn’t someone say LOL …

We could dig out our bikes and walking boots as there are bridle ways to discover. (BTW tell Henry the 1994 Tour de France 4th stage from Dover went via London to Wivelsfield finishing in Brighton).

Charters Gate has lovely landscaping, designated play areas and lots of parking; there are mature trees, and walks into the countryside (when was the last time you saw a bluebell or a cow?)

The interiors are lovely, you’ll be amazed at the accommodation, built-in wardrobes, en-suites, and it’s all light and airy.  I went into 3 show-homes, and I couldn’t take my pick as they were all fantastic.

Can you get down again soon?  The houses in the first phase are selling quickly, and with all the interest, I think they’ll be sold out by next year.  Stick RH17 7RA in the SATNAV and you’ll be there in no time – the show-homes are open 10-5 every day and at weekends, so you’ve got no excuses! Give them a call in advance if you can, then one of the lovely Sales Advisors on site can give you all the attention you need.

Have a look at the brochure. Give Charters Gate a ring on 01273-003089.  I’m almost tempted myself – you know, I love the spec … and you and Henry would settle in, in no time at all, especially with us as near neighbours!

Let me know when you’re coming down to view, and bring Charlie with you – he’ll love the countryside!

Love to all, see you in June (if not before)
